Stage 1: Electrical Rough-In

Before the walls are sheeted, we run all the electrical cabling throughout the frame. This includes:

• Power circuits (GPOs) to all rooms as per plan
• Lighting circuits and switch drops
• Dedicated circuits for high-load appliances (oven, AC, dishwasher, cooktop)
• Data and TV cabling (Cat6 Ethernet, antenna, pay TV)
• Solar conduit pre-wire from roof to switchboard location
• EV charger conduit from garage to switchboard (future-proofing)
• Outdoor circuit pre-wires (garden, shed, pergola)

Stage 2: Electrical Fit-Off

Once the walls are plastered and painted, we return to complete the installation:

• Install all power point (GPO) faceplates
• Install all light switches and dimmers
• Install light fittings (owner-supplied or we can supply)
• Install and commission the main switchboard with circuit breakers and RCDs
• Connect all circuits and label the board clearly
• Test and inspect all circuits
• Issue Certificate of Compliance Electrical Work (CCEW)

Solar Pre-Wire — Future-Proof Your New Home

The single best value-add we can include in any new home wiring job is a solar conduit pre-wire. During rough-in, we install conduit from the roof space to the switchboard area, so when you're ready to add solar (now or in the future), the installation is straightforward and significantly cheaper. Without it, cables must be run externally or through already-sheeted walls — adding cost and visual impact.

Similarly, installing a conduit run from your garage to your switchboard during the build costs very little and positions your home for EV charging readiness — an increasingly valued feature for resale.
